I have the worst luck with memory cards. D: It turns out the card I used at the protest has failed pretty much entirely. I lost all of my pictures for the second time. Sorry everyone. :(

if yes, you could do a raw backup of your card. I might be abe to get pictures from the dead and if you deleted picture of yourself not fucking with batman...I can probably get those picture back to life.

all you have to do is cat /dev/sbb1 >> backup

then when you're done you can distribute this raw copy of your flashcard...

Nope, unfortunately. It's not a big deal though, they're cheap to replace.

I appreciate the offer, but no such luck. :( I'm gonna try some card recovery software on it later on today and see if I can pull anything out of the mess, but I'm not sure I'll be able to.

Avoid taking new photos, I hear that would overwrite the ones that you lost. Good luck with the recovery programme!

Update: I managed to recover about half of the images I took at the protest yesterday, but none of the video. I'll sort through it later and post what's good!

Sorry EaterofCake, the hypnocaek didn't make it. :( I lost every picture taken after 1:58 PM, and many of the pictures taken before that.

Bugger that, its good that you recovered any images.
